Our mission holds steady: the Colorado Water Issues Committee exists to protect the tradition of rice farming in the Texas Coastal Plains — a safe and abundant food source, a source of jobs, wetlands habitat for waterfowl and migrating birds, and a multi-generational agrarian legacy along the Colorado River.
